Don't worry if you don't hear from me for a couple of weeks as we are all getting ready for christmas. It has been a pleasure to have you in my classes and I wish you all a safe and Happy Christmas. Even Santa has to take time to get his quilting done. Nice pattern.

Barbara and I went to Sydney for the day to Material Obsession's swap day and it was a great experience with many good specials and a few good purchases thrown in. The Kantha quilt bought from Material Obsession which is over my arm, will be cut up to make my new jacket for winter.

Bits of 'George' my new quilt for 2013. There is more to come. George is based around an old quilt made in 1805 and I saw this quilt when I was in London at the V & A museum in 2010. The quilts were drop dead gorgeous. Don't you just love the birds.

Some more photo's from our end of year morning tea. Great work girls, it was a pleasure to have you all in class. Note our table cloths.

Saturday 1 December 2012

We had our morning tea get together today with some amazing show and tell.
Janette with her Pear Tree, and she always finishes each
quilt. Just gorgeous.

Jess with her fabulous Pear tree in a completely different colour way.

This is Cherree's Dollie Sampler, looks great.
Our secret santa this year was a pin cushion. They were all different and soo cute. Everyone went to a lot of care. I will add more photos from our show and tell but I will also add a new page with class quilts.

Earlier this year I wrote a small book for my kids depicting my life and journey as a quilter. The aim was to help them understand why mum would cut up perfectly good fabric into little bits, just to sew it all back together again, because I can. I have thought of adding another page on the side with bits from the book, let me know what you think.
